We continue on at a frenzied pace with the destruction, construction and overall renovation of the RV trailer. We are very conscious that we are protesters, and that we have a job to do which is not RV renovation. We all want to get on the road and into the thick of things. It is hard for us to watch events unfold and not be in the middle of it. But we also don’t want to pull up to an action with black plastic waving in the breeze, broken windows and rotted floor. We are not trailer park trash — we are Occupiers. We will ride into action in a professional manner, and do our job in a professional manner. We want people to know that we are serious about what we are doing, and that means being prepared.

None of us are carpenters, or electricians, or plumbers. None of us are auto mechanics either. But we have life experience, we have a variety of skills, and we have the will to learn to do whatever it takes to change the world. Right now that means fixing up a vintage Shasta trailer so we can set up The Peoples Kitchen, a Medic Station, a Livestream Program, and much more wherever we go.

We want people to smile when they see us pull up, and shout “Yay! The Occupy Bus Tour is here!” So to that end, we occupy renovating the Rhomboidal Trailer (there is nothing square about it, yo!). Occupying means living life and enjoying it — so although the work is difficult for us on several levels we are enjoying the process of learning, of making mistakes and creating success, of getting the job done and doing it right. We got this, yo!

Here are some photos of the recent destruction, and soon Stacy will have a video of the construction and renovation. Stay tuned!
